  • Screen Time: To block selected apps during focus sessions
  • Notifications: To send session reminders and alerts

2. Data Usage and Protection

Your session and usage data is:

  • Stored locally on your device
  • Encrypted at rest using iOS Data Protection
  • Not shared with third parties for advertising
  • Not sold to any third parties

3. Data Collection and Usage

3.1 Data Not Linked to Your Identity

The following data may be collected but is not linked to your identity:

  • Usage data
  • Product interaction: How you interact with app features (session starts, breathing exercises, intention selections)
  • Device information: Device model, iOS version, app version (for analytics and app improvement)
  • Location data: Coarse location (city, region, country) collected automatically by analytics service for analytics purposes only
  • Anonymous analytics data for app improvement

Product interaction data is collected and used solely for:

  • App functionality (session management, app blocking, insights display)
  • Ensuring app performance and stability
  • Understanding how features are used to improve the app
  • Providing customer support

3.2 On-Device Data

The following data is stored only on your device:

  • Session metadata (start/end times, durations, intentions)
  • Blocked apps selection
  • Daily metrics (attempts, sessions, time used)
  • Historical insights
  • Onboarding data (objectives, age group, screen time)
  • App preferences (daily budget, vacation mode, analytics settings)

This data remains on your device and is never transmitted to external servers.

3.3 Third-Party Services

Flow uses the following third-party services:

Mixpanel Analytics:

  • Collects anonymous usage data to understand how features are used
  • Collects coarse location data (city, region, country) automatically for analytics purposes
  • Helps identify and fix bugs or performance issues
  • Data is aggregated and anonymized
  • Uses anonymous user ID (UUID, not linked to your identity)
  • Location data is not precise and cannot identify your exact location
  • You can opt out of analytics in Settings → Analytics Settings

RevenueCat Subscription Management:

  • Manages subscription purchases and status
  • Required for premium features functionality
  • Data shared with Apple StoreKit for purchase verification

All third-party data collection is:

  • Completely anonymous
  • Used only for app functionality and improvements
  • Not used for advertising or marketing
  • Not sold or shared with other parties

Your core session and usage data remains:

  • Locally on your device
  • Without external data transmission
  • Completely private and secure

4. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Delete all local data by uninstalling the app or using "Delete All My Data" in Settings
  • Control analytics collection via Settings → Analytics Settings
  • Control app permissions through device settings
  • Access your data (all data is stored on-device and accessible through the app)

5. Data Retention

  • Local app data: Remains until you uninstall the app or delete all your data
  • Analytics data: Retained per Mixpanel policy (default 365 days) if analytics is enabled
  • Subscription data: Retained per RevenueCat and Apple policies (required for subscription management)

6. Children's Privacy

This app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to Privacy Policy

We will notify users of any material changes to this privacy policy through the app or via email.
